Katherine Salvador, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Hopewell Health Solutions, which has locations in Glastonbury and West Hartford, Connecticut.
Katherine received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Springfield College, where she completed her clinical training in psychiatry in the inpatient hospital setting. After graduating, Katherine focused her career on community-based mental health and addiction treatment. Her knowledge of psychopharmacology stems from over nine years’ experience treating a wide scope of mental health conditions including mood, anxiety, and substance use disorders throughout the clinic, hospital, and addiction treatment environments.
Katherine is, herself, an ever-learning student of mindfulness and believes strongly in the power of being “still.” She believes that the use of medication, in combination with cognitive therapies like mindfulness, or other types of psychotherapy, can be life-changing.
Katherine works with clients who are experiencing both acute and chronic psychiatric conditions. She knows that making decisions about medication can be difficult, and her goal is to create an open and safe space for clients to express their hopes, concerns, and fears as they relate to medication treatment.
Katherine lives in East Granby with her husband, daughter, and dog, Pepper. She is navigating life as a new mom and when she is not googling “how to get baby to sleep through the night” she enjoys yoga, decorating her home, Dave Matthews Band concerts, and spending time with family and friends.
