Victoria Bairos, LPCA, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Connecticut. She received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology with a concentration in forensic psychology from the University of New Haven. Victoria has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in both outpatient therapeutic settings and residential therapeutic settings.
Victoria is devoted to working with children, adolescents, adults, and families struggling with their mental health. She has experience working with anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD and other trauma-related disorders, ADHD/ADD, behavioral disorders, and substance use disorders. Victoria uses a combination of evidence-based therapeutic practices and techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy, humanistic therapy, and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Using a mixture of practices and techniques allows Victoria to tailor a personalized therapeutic experience for each of her clients.
Victoria embraces a holistic approach to therapy, addressing the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of well-being. With experience providing therapy to children and adolescents, she recognizes the impact of various life stressors on mental health, including academic pressures, peer relationships, family dynamics, trauma, bullying, and social media. She understands that each developmental stage requires different therapeutic approaches—play-based interventions for younger children or cognitive-behavioral strategies for teens. Victoria works collaboratively with her clients to create individualized treatment plans with clear goals and actionable objectives, tailored to each client’s unique challenges. By respecting their emotional states and readiness for change, she fosters a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship. Her goal is to empower clients to build resilience and achieve long-term growth by addressing interconnected aspects of their lives, supporting their journey toward healing and personal development.
In her free time, Victoria enjoys playing with her dog, Moon, spending time with friends and family, and reading.
