Shanique is dedicated to facilitating positive change and emotional well-being in individuals across the lifespan and their families. Her approach in her practice combines cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change negative thought patterns and beliefs contributing to emotional distress and maladaptive behaviors. This empowers clients to manage their emotions and make positive life changes. Additionally, she integrates Adlerian principles, aiding clients in exploring their life stories, childhood experiences, and early relationships to gain insight into how these factors shape their self-perception and goals. This awareness supports clients in pursuing a more holistic and fulfilling life. She operates under the philosophy that clients are the experts in their own lives, and her role is to assist them in achieving their objectives.
During family sessions, families will better understand each other’s needs and perspectives, thus fostering empathy and harmony within the household. In addition, therapy will equip your family with effective coping strategies to manage conflicts, reducing tension and promoting a more peaceful and supportive family environment. Ultimately, families can expect a stronger and more resilient bond that enables them to navigate life’s challenges with greater unity and mutual support.
