"Helper Of Mankind." - Hebrew Translation Of The Name Sandra

Sandra Gray, LMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker who received a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Connecticut and a Masters in Social Work from Springfield College. Sandra has worked in the mental health and substance use industry for 17 years. Sandra has worked with children, teens, adults, and families in both residential and outpatient settings. She has extensive experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavior disorders, PTSD, substance abuse, personality disorders, and addictions. Sandra is specifically passionate about helping teens and young adults in crisis with collaborative, goal-directed treatments that include the family, school, and outside providers to address all the needs of the teen/young adult on their journey to building a vital and fulfilling life.

Sandra recognizes how hard it is to ask for help and feels honored to be part of the transformation process with her clients. Her therapeutic focus is a combination of mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Sandra’ therapeutic interventions are rooted in science and she is supportive but direct in her accountability measures with her clients. Sandra addresses treatment in a holistic approach with specific applications such as, goal formation, action planning, and overcoming barriers to treatment.

In her free time, Sandra likes to engage in mindfulness activities that help promote an emotional, mental and physical balance, which includes taking nature walks inside of Elizabeth Park, and going to the gym.

Sandra offers individual counseling, couples, and family counseling focusing on:
  • Depressive disorders including bipolar disorders, MDD, dysthymia, suicidality, and self- harm.
  • Anxiety disorders including generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, phobias.
