Nicole Scoffone LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Connecticut. She received her masters’ in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Saint Joseph. Over the last five years, Nicole has been passionate about working with a diversity of clients ranging from young children to adults in mental health agencies.Nicole focuses on building a positive rapport with every client, maintaining a great relationship from the first session and on. Throughout her work, she prides herself on being deeply compassionate, caring, warm, culturally aware, and positive. Her primary therapeutic methods areDBT (Dialetical Behavioral Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), with some additional use of Mindfulness and Solution Focused Therapy. Nicole believes in adding a healthy dose of skills building within therapy, such as, healthy relationships, coping skills, relaxation techniques, and mindfulness. Nicole is highly skilled in forming trusting alliances with her clients using a non-judgmental and calm approach. She helps clients find meaning in experiences, process the past, and, most importantly, strive for and achieve the life and future that they envision for themselves.
