Priscella Si, LMFT, is a dedicated and licensed Marriage Family Therapist based in Connecticut. She holds a Master Degree from Central Connecticut State University. Priscella has been working in the mental health services field for over 5 years. Priscella’s approach is to listen attentively to her clients, relate to their challenges, and help them to find direction in their life. Priscella’s therapeutic philosophy is that each person is a special individual who needs to realize their fullest potential and even contribute to the greater good through therapy, behavioral change, and developing self- awareness. Priscialla is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Collaborative Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Transgenerational Therapy (Bowen). Priscella works with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
Some tools Priscella likes to use in therapy include the use of a genogram. Genograms can help individuals recognize family patterns and understand different familial roles. Genograms can increase family communication, motivation , and confidence to make changes. Priscella guides the therapy and empowers parents to help make the changes to create healthy, thriving families.
Priscella is an advocate for children and families and was the founding director for the Children’s Protection Agency in China. Priscella brings her own passion for family life, her professional experience in leadership and advocacy for children and families, and her cultural competence and fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese to her therapeutic work. Helping teens self-regulate, understand themselves and build connections within families are Priscella’s specialties. She enjoys working with families, teens and young adults to give them hope, tools for life, and confidence.
