Maddalena Maddy Monti, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified School Social Worker in the state of Connecticut. She is EMDR trained therapist. She received her Masters’ in Social Work from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work. She has worked in public schools, mental health counseling agencies, and partial hospitalization settings throughout her career.
Maddy quickly establishes a positive collaborative relationship with her clients who often express how easy she is to talk to during treatment. She enjoys using Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), Mindfulness strategies, and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) to help children, adolescents, and adults improve their well-being. She is experienced in teaching clients’ strategies to improve all aspects of emotional intelligence including coping skills, social skills, and assertiveness. Her solution-focused and strengths-based approach motivates and empowers clients to achieve enduring success following treatment.
Maddy treats a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, Bipolar disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive, and social communication disorders. She is experienced in working with families with children on the autism spectrum helping them shape behaviors to improve their well-being.
Maddy values spending time with her husband, two sons and foster daughter. She enjoys gardening, cooking, exercising and attending sporting events.
